United Way Welcomes Kat Reed to the Board

My name is Kat Reed and I moved to Montcalm County in 1997 from the “big city” of Lansing. I was raised here and attended Central Montcalm High School and Montcalm Community College before attending Central Michigan University and obtaining my Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and Leadership in 2013. In 2014, I moved to Grand Rapids, but have continued to work in and support the community that my hearts calls home.

I have worked at Candlestone Golf Resort in Belding for just over four years, and in that time quickly advanced to become the Director of Events and Community Relations. In this position, I have a unique opportunity to connect with not only individuals, but also businesses and organizations within the community. My favorite part of my position is the opportunity to continually gain insight and experience different components of the community and seek ways to contribute within it. I thrive through networking and relationship development, public events, and learning how to improve utilization of resources. I appreciate the opportunity to face and overcome a new challenge, and love that within my position, no two days are ever the same.
