United Way Montcalm-Ionia Counties Welcomes Nikki Kwiatkowski, MFOC AmeriCorps Member

Nikki attended Central Michigan University where she earned a Bachelors of Science in Sociology with a Concentration in Social and Criminal Justice. For seven years, she worked for St. Mary/St. John the Baptist Parishes in Carson City where she did everything from organizing fundraisers to teaching catechism classes. She has served on the St. Mary Craft Show Committee for five years and is currently chairing the committee. While attending CMU, Nikki was a research assistant and worked on multiple projects involving domestic violence. She interned with the Firecracker Foundation in Lansing where she organized and promoted trauma-sensitive yoga therapy for children and teen survivors of sexual assault. After graduating, she worked for the State of Michigan until becoming an AmeriCorp Member and being placed with United Way Montcalm-Ionia Counties. When not at work, Nikki can usually be found reading or trying a new recipe.
