Established in 1992, the Dorothy A. Johnson Center for Philanthropy is an academic center withing the College of Community and Public Service at Grand Valley State University. Ghrough professional development services, courses and trainings, philanthropic tools, and more, they support:
- Effective Philanthropy: Helping donors and foundations adopt best practices in their careers and organizations.
- Strong Nonprofits: Helping nonprofit organizations strengthen their teams, tools, and thinking for better impact.
- Informed Community Change: Guiding nonprofits, foundations, instiutions, and neighborhood groups in using data to do good.
Featuring Grant Writing - a presentation from Sarah Pinder, Engagement Director of the Michigan Non-Profit Association. Sarah Pinder comes back to us to lead a deeper fdive into grant writing. MNA is a statewide membership organization dedicated to serving the diverse nonprofit sector through civic engagement, capacity-building, data and technology and advocacy. Sarah works to connect MNA members with resources and benefits, develop member value, and manage special projects.
Prior to joining MNA in June 2014, Sarah worked with the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Flint, helping more than 3,500 youth annually realize their full potential. Sarah holds a degree in communications from Michigan State University and has spent more than 10 years working in nonprofits in the area of fund development.
There is a $25.00 registration fee for each attendee.
