Help us make UNITED To End Hunger a success!
United Way Montcalm – Ionia Counties in partnership with Montcalm Community College (MCC) is excited to bring to you the 1st Annual community wide Day of Caring on Saturday, April 21th at the Montcalm Community College Sidney campus! This great team building event is an opportunity to connect volunteers with our community.
Our volunteers (300 of them) will be working on one large project, UNITED to End Hunger in Montcalm and Ionia Counties, where they will package 80,000 dried, non-perishable meals for distribution to the hungry in our community. In addition, we will also be collecting personal care items before the packaging event begins.
Did you know? Even though our economy is rebounding, the need for food assistance remains strong. Currently, 1 in 4 children in Montcalm County and 1 in 5 children in Ionia County are food insecure meaning that their families do not have enough food to feed them adequately? United Way is working with community partners like MCC to do what we can to help but we cannot do it alone.
United Way and MCC would like to invite your organization to be part of UNITED to End Hunger in Montcalm and Ionia Counties.
