Join United Way Montcalm-Ionia Counties and Montcalm Community College
for a Day of Caring to make UNITED To End Hunger a success!
In Montcalm County 1 in 4 children are food insecure and 1 in 5 Ionia County are food insecure. Food insecurity can impair a child's ability to concentrate and perform well in school and struggle to perform at the same level as their peers. Going hungry has serious implications for children's immediate wellbeing and their long-term physical, cognitive, and social health.
On April 21, 2018, volunteers will assemble ready-to-prepare meals that will be distributed throughout Montcalm and Ionia Counties to local food pantries and representives. In just one day of two hour shifts, over 300 people will package 80,000 protein-enriched meals for local families.
During your registration, you will be asked to agree to our Waiver, Informed Consent, and Release of Liability. If under 18 years of age, we will ask that you print a copy, have it signed by parent or guardian, and bring to UNITED To End Hunger on April 21, 2018. The full document can be found here.
